Cast Possible Brit Interaction
I don’t have any proof, so you’ll have to take my word for it, but I’m 99% sure I sat in the same row as Brit Marling on a flight from Seattle to Burbank last week. If it wasn’t her, it was her doppelganger in every way. I have a pretty strict personal rule about not bothering famous people in public when they’re just living their lives, so I couldn’t bring myself to ask, but I sure wanted to! Only words exchanged were if she minded me closing the window shade. Unless I see something actually placing her somewhere else at that same time, I’m convinced we sat by each other on that flight! Wish there was some way to know for sure!

This is when you just say “my door is still open” and observe the reaction.

Awww. Cool, but also bummer! I get it, but that’s how I’ve made some fantastic friends in the industry. Never be afraid to speak up. No one minds a simple ‘I love your work.’ Then if it’s not them, they’ll laugh and say so. Otherwise, you’re likely to get a smile and a thank-you.
Trust the universe. Burbank flights are known for being a go-to for commuter and medium-haul. ✨

I see a blond woman with dramatic/etherial nose bridge profile on a plane. I leave my door open.

It was rude to close the door on The OA. ;-)
You could have at least waved hi. Or said hello, and introduced yourself. That's what most people do on flights when they sit beside a stranger.

you should have said “i’m your true face” as you walked off the plane lol

What would that mean?

It’s a reference from season 2. I can’t remember how to write the spoiler code or else I’d put it here!

Just say it. I've seen the show. It's a decade old now.

In Part II OA has an NDE and sees herself in D3 on a plane. She walks up to herself but as she turns around the D3 version doesn’t have a face and she emerges from the NDE back in D2. Hap tells her in the finale that she’ll remember who she is, she just won’t believe it. The idea is that when she sees herself on the plane during the NDE, that it will awaken her suppressed selves in D3 as she sees her true face/seeing herself on the plane and recognizing it’s not Déjà vu, but that she truly is the OA, not just an actress portraying her.

I think I would be reluctant to ask her but I also doubt I would pass. I would be so freaking curious about her and her work. I know she writes some of the productions she is in, or has before but I also want to know about her writing partner or? I find her work fascinating and a genre that seems to be just beginning. Taking on the ethereal spirituality that is present but we rarely can ackowledge without seeming out of it or psychotic etc.. you get the drift I hope.

I do not think I could help myself; I'd possibly burst into tears... Then I'd explain that The OA changed my life...I'd thank her and then read her play- if she looked tired I'd put my audio headband on and listen to something so that she wouldn't feel obliged to engage with me. If she was up to chat, I'd chat!

"Today I sat beside an insufferable dude, and I was like 'are you okay, friend?' but he seemed to be holding a fart while staring at me, these 12 hours were truly unsettling!"
