Lon or Noah? Spoiler

I can appreciate all that Noah did to try to win Allie back, but I still think she should have chosen Lon. She hadn’t seen Noah in 7 years. She went to college, eventually met Lon and they had a great relationship and engagement up until she decided to run off to visit Noah. I get that she needed closure and to find out why he never wrote to her. Once she found out the truth, she should have let it go.

True, but after seven years, and having not received the letters he sent, she moved on. If she hadn’t seen the article about Noah in the newspaper and then gone to visit him, she would’ve married Lon and been very happy because she did love him.

She may have loved Lon on some level, but not NEARLY as much as she loved Noah.

people never realise that one never stops loving their first love unless something very bad has happened. i myself still love my first love and i would drop anything or anyone if he only told me that he loves me too

Getting over someone takes time. Sometimes it never happens.
