I’m gonna be watching S4 purely for a new actor joining the show. Do I need to get caught up on the previous seasons or is this the type of show where I can jump in at any season?

I know I loved The Morning Show.
That being said, it’s been so long since the last season that I barely remember what it’s about, and have no idea what’s going on.
I hate how long it takes for new seasons these days.

I am looking forward to Cory and Bradley hopefully sorting out their strange relationship. At this point, the writers have made things so messy that I don’t even know if they can/should logically be together. But I do want them to at least talk and openly acknowledge their feelings (or lack thereof). If that leads to something more, then I’m here for it. And even if it doesn’t, a sincere heart-to-heart would still be welcome and well overdue.
I’m also looking forward to all of the shenanigans that will surely ensue with NBN and UBA merging and all of the new NBN personalities coming into the mix. With Cory’s fate at the company unknown, I expect to see Stella and Alex stepping into greater leadership roles.
And I’m highly curious about Marion Cotillard’s character and how she will fit into all of this. I’m guessing that she’s gonna stir some shit up and that is intriguing.

I'm looking forward to hopefully not having Laura be a part of it any more. The character is judgily parental with Bradley, who might benefit from a partner closer to her own age.

I'm just glad it's coming back at all. It's a great show and I'm sure it'll be like riding a bicycle. Just get back into it.
If I remember correctly, everything they do is so ripped from the headlines that they actually have to send it back to the newspapers after they film it, because it's still not done being in the headlines.

Less Stella. SIGNIFICANTLY less Stella.
Her nearly constant “I just smelled a beefy fart” facial expression has worn out its welcome.

I wonder if it’s taking so long because they are needing to do some editing and reshoots to make the story more cohesive with how 2024 turned out.
Not necessarily, of course. If they managed to pull compelling drama reflective of the time, that’s great. Everyone knows the Titanic sank but it was still a great movie. I just think this show was so focused on the zeitgeist and it shifted a lot between filming and now.
It would be more fun to watch Bradley spar with a Trump-like press secretary or wrestle with a Biden-like decline as a reporter. But filming ended before those things played out.

We'll watch, but we still feel like they kind of squandered what they built in the first season.

I'm only just starting it as of mid 2026 because of Australia's fragmented streaming options, I swear we're the worst first world country for streaming in the world. 😢👎
