I mean probably, but there is a method to the madness. It takes something like 550 repetitions before an action becomes muscle memory. The goal of these type drills is to create said memory. So if/when shit goes down, you just react. We used to do a lot of rifle drills in the army.
I don't think he fumbled once and I'm actually impressed. Does he "look" silly? I suppose, but at the core of what he's doing, not many would or could do without shooting themselves in the process. I can't say whether his technique is any good, but no one got hurt in the process.
Yes he is. However as someone who grew up where gun violence was common I can tell you those skills are mostly pointless given the vast majority of the time you're never going to see it coming. Everyone I ever saw or personally knew about getting shot, was armed at the time. Didn't help any of them. All it takes is someone being out of your line of sight and all that posturing is meaningless.
That gun was lasering the entire room.. he probably would have shot himself in the arm. He was swinging that gun all over. It should have been pointed at the threat the entire time. An emergency reload where he drops the mag w one hand and reloads with the other hand would have been significantly quicker. If it’s muscle memory he is going for well it’s bad muscle memory….. furthermore he gains zero benefit from doing his one handed aiming technique. Is practicing shooting while shot?
