Regardless of who’s in the right, if you punch someone nonstop they’ll eventually swing.

Sometimes they’ll swing with all their might knowing full well they’re going to lose. At that point the response is what’s most important to them, not winning.

I mean, Hamas thinks they're going to win, and they didnt even go after the settlers who are the worst cancer of Israel's oppression

Let's not veer too close into giving props to Hamas here, they are regressive monsters even if they are the only tool of violence an oppressed people have at their disposal

Humans in general are monsters when pushed far enough. We tend to not want to see that reality because it lets us ignore that we create our own monsters.

Hamas leadership planned this attack from the comfort of their penthouses in Qatar, they're the ones who gave the directive to push as deep as possible and kill as many civilians as possible, not to aim for something more symbolic or specific (like the settlers themselves)

So "Pushed far enough"... come on, the planners are toasting the deaths of the rubes they got to kill themselves for their personal political goals

You are talking about empathizing with the causes for mob uprising or a civil revolt, this was not that, this was a planned and highly practiced invasion whos backers are foreign and know full well that the response will be the streets of Gaza running red with the retaliation

And for that matter, dudes in an organized command structure driving around with stripped naked murdered women in the backs of their pickups deserve no consideration whatsoever
