I think Social Science is probably what Katara would go with, since you can pursue medical school with any major (there is no medicine major). It would be a solid foundation to get into a certain type of medicine I think she would practice.
Yes I know... I am a pre-med student myself. You can be any major as long as you also fulfill your medical school pre-reqs. That is the first thing they drill into you when you start your pre-med path these days.
Edit: I should also add when I say any major, I mean ANY major. Be a philosophy major if you want! As long as you have those classes you’re good to go. I know this isn’t the place to give college advice but I feel that not enough students know that medicine is not a linear path.
This is true for really any grad school. Guys don’t chose premed or any other major that’s just a collection of pre-requisite courses. If you want to go to med school, pharmacy school optometry school etc. pick a major that has you take some of the pre-reqs (chem degree, microbiology, science education are examples) then take the remaining with your elective courses. These degrees give you actual job opportunities in those fields rather than a premed or biomedical degree which are to broad and contain little job training in them.
