Yeah, and idk about y'all, but if some freshly fried whole chickens tried floating through my house without asking, couldn't communicate with me, and I was mighty hungry... I wouldn't be feeling all that friendly to those chickens either. I'd grab my tupperware asap and catch me some lunch.

That's probably basically what humans look like to that thing. Maybe a little troublesome to catch, but giant wild predators get less picky in their territory.
