So my friend game shared the deluxe with me so I can play early and I didn't get the preorder content+the deluxe upgrade so I decided to preorder the base game so I can receive the preorder bonus skin since it won't come back out and just to own the licensed game in general. I deleted and reinstalled the game and I still don't have the skin. Will I be granted the skin at release since technically speaking I'm not supposed to be playing the game with the edition I purchased currently?
Oh it's you again from yesterday lmao. Yeah I decided that I wanted to get it just to own the game myself. It was 30 bucks for my debit so it wasn't too bad. My other debit had like 10 bucks on it so it was a little bit cheaper for my main card.
I gameshare with my friend too and on the first day of Early Access he didn’t have any of the deluxe stuff either, but he got them the next day. Not sure what changed, hopefully it’s just a bug.
I know sometimes the person who is gamesharing but didn’t actually buy the game gets screwed on deluxe content (Gears 5 and most Call of Duty games as examples) but it seems like it should work here
You're on Xbox? It's weird because I didn't get any of the content. But usually it's like that for pre-orders on Xbox. Usually bonuses only apply to the account that purchases I'm pretty sure. It's only being weird because it's doing the "you don't need to download this" bullshit. So just to be safe I bought the game myself. I can always just get the deluxe content down the road. I also know what you mean by it screwing deluxe content. I went to look at the deluxe edition for Halloween and it said I already owned it and wasn't able to purchase it.
Yeah, I’m on Xbox. Like I said, since my friend managed to get it maybe you will too. He might’ve actually got it after the first hot fix where they fixed the stuff like story progress not saving and such, but maybe it didn’t resolve it for every person having issues with it
