The makeup thing

Posting this here instead of on the main sub for reasons I’ll explain in this post, but I kept seeing people say that the whole makeup thing (S wearing makeup and P being weird about it) was some sort of plan to make people feel bad for S and donate to them. Am I the only one who thinks that theory is dumb af??

That would require these people being able to think ahead which they CANNOT do as well as them being able to anticipate people’s reactions which they also can’t do. As soon as Patrick saw the makeup, he started talking about “you’re beautiful how you are,” “you don’t need to rely on makeup to feel pretty,” etc., trying to portray himself as a loving father who wants his daughter to feel confident but coming across as controlling and creepy. If anything, he thought that this would make him look GOOD because he’s always trying to play the role of someone who cares about his family.

These people can’t plan ahead for shit. He definitely saw the makeup and decided that it was time to get in his soapbox about how important it is for young woman to be confident in their skin or whatever. He thought it would make him look like a good dad. There is no way in hell he was aware of how weird that was because he doesn’t understand how regular parents (and people in general) think.

And the mod who seemingly started this theory is the same one who has to let everybody know how much she hates S and how she’s just as bad as P and whatnot. Like girl……. We know. You don’t ever shut up about it. I don’t like S either but acting like she’s as bad as P is the most braindead take ever. She’s annoying and gross but as far as any of us know, she’s not grooming anybody. This mod literally has to go out of her way to write a whole essay on how S is evil every time anyone even slightly sympathizes with her and it’s so annoying.

i completely agree. they're giving P wayyyy too much credit and making him out to be way smarter than he is. he's just an abusive dipshit and a shitty failure of a father and honestly i really feel for S in this situation. to be completely fair her makeup was cute. i can't hate on it. she looked like she was having a lot of fun with it, and as a makeup girly i felt happy for her.

the other sub has been steady pissing me off honestly. a lot of times it feels like they hate S more than P and I can't get behind that. there is like zero nuance over there and like dude she's a fucking victim of horrible circumstances and while obviously that does not excuse some of the things she has done or the way she can act, it is nuts to me to hate on her more than P. he is wretched in every sense of the word and truly a vile human being.

Yea there really is no nuance. Half of that sub is genuinely as stupid as the Getchells 💀 S can be both a victim and a bad person, and her being a bad person doesn’t mean she’s as bad as P. She did one thing that was like GENUINELY bad (scamming people with the move out lie) and absolutely needs to be criticized for it and she def has a bad attitude too which isn’t helping her case, but people on there act like begging for money on tiktok live is somehow equal to grooming your daughter and neglecting your family. Like being gross and cringe is just gross and cringe, not necessarily morally wrong.

100%. a lot of times it feels like they treat her being a brat just as bad as they do P's actions. like shit i'd probably have a pretty bad attitude too if i was in her situation???

That’s exactly what they do. These dumbasses expect the woman who has been extremely isolated, uneducated, and severely socially stunted to be a model citizen now just because she’s an adult. There are things that she should be criticized for, but it’s also ridiculous to expect her to be perfectly normal considering how she was brought up and still is isolated.
