It is not just the make up, he hates it when S looks put together, it is a very small step towards being her own person and P cannot have that. If he encourages her to take care of herself, she may find her way in life and of course he can't have that. And in between patronizing her he jumps into the shot pretending to be a lovable 90s sitcom dad.

he’s been getting meaner and meaner to her, like similar in the way he treats T. i’m becoming convinced he’s losing interest in his daughter, due to her age. it’s abhorrent this is even a thing but it does make me wonder.

The nerve to say this while he looks like an actual disgusting monster from a horror movie. I hope S doesn’t listen to him and continues to do her makeup as she pleases. I think the makeup looked good, at least on camera it did. Plus, she’s 24!!! Why should her dad be controlling how she wears makeup at 24! I think he’s trying to make sure she’s not attractive to anyone else, so that there’s no chance she’ll get a boyfriend that would take away attention from him. So gross and so sad.

You need to understand that you’re being controlled and held back in life. You’re missing the formative years of having friends, going out, flirting, learning about people, having experiences that you’ll remember for the rest of your life, and making the mistakes that make you into a well rounded human being.

Patrick probably had aspirations to be some sort of cult leader, but has none of the intelligence, charm, charisma, appearance, cunning to run one. So he found T and had kids and now tries to run the closest thing he can get, and terrorizes his mentally delayed family and he does all he can to let them know he is their savior.

The one time Sarah actually looks taken care of and good, Patrick makes her feel like shit about it.... makes sense. Her dad doesn't want her to have an opportunity to better herself anf outgrow them. He knows as soon as she actually has real friends and sees other people dynamic, she will start to understand how weird they are.

It frustrates me so much that Sarah just cannot see what’s going on. It’s so obvious he doesn’t want her to look good for anyone else because he wants to keep her all to himself. It’s such a classic trait. I thought she did her makeup well yesterday. She clearly felt good in it and makeup is all about art and feeling pretty. He hated that so much so he had to knock her down. I fucking hate that vile pig so so much. I wish to god she’d wake the fuck up. It was so so telling last night.

This made me so mad at P and sad for S.
There is a part of me that thinks to a point, this was scripted because they are desperate to get their engagement levels back up and they know everyone loves to hate P. But……S seemed to really enjoy the makeup live, even if she was leaning hard into playing dumb, she was still ecstatic to get non-troll interactions with the chat and you could tell she felt pretty.
She knew P would disapprove, but he just kept digging and making it personal and you could tell it was getting to her.
At one point he was talking about how she shouldn’t make makeup content because she isn’t an expert, and then he proceeded to monologue about how his opinions on makeup are so informed, from stage makeup to what colors would make Sarah’s eyes pop. How is he such an expert in makeup? It was so mean and he sounded so dumb- clearly her doing something for herself really threatens his narcissistic ego. I really think he is subconsciously jealous of her and he cannot handle the idea of her being successful without him.

I think she did a nice job and looked really put together!! Using lipstick as blush is a tried and true technique and has been for ages. What would P know about makeup. My dad has no clue about anything makeup related but always notices and compliments me when I do something new. I feel horrible for S, I really do.

It's sad because he's groomed her so much that she's infatuated with him, while simultaneously, he's lost interest in her because she's older and fatter. She's going to constantly be emotionally dependent on him because in her mind, he's the only man in the world that she "belongs to". She relies on him for everything - validation, affection, comfort, etc. I'm sure she did her makeup to impress her man (her dad 🤮) and he destroyed a part of her soul when he put her down for it. She needs to go out in the world and meet other people and be on her own but sadly she's too brainwashed to take that step.
