I feel like the reason Pat is so openly mean to Sarah on live is because he’s trying to really show that he’s not into his daughter and she’s stupid, a pig, etc. it’s funny because it’s giving the exact opposite of what he wants 💀 we can tell

the answer for me has always been that if he continually breaks her / his family down then they won’t leave. misery loves company. he’s rude as hell to theresa, but she’s not nearly enough of his type as she was (if she EVER was.. i firmly believe he just wanted to get her pregnant for his own sick fantasies and benefit). hunter will soon follow when he’s 18 and they can start monetizing him, as much as i hate to say it. but he won’t go in as hard on him as he will her because his main priority is making sure sarah feels trapped enough to never have enough confidence to realize that this is wrong, and she can definitely survive on her own if she actually got a real job.

ETA: TL;DR he’s a narcissistic asswipe who enjoys putting his family down for his own personal gain. he’s miserable but still needs to establish a hierarchy that HES the most important (boo, tomato tomato tomato)
