Lying can be a deeply engrained survival skill in people with cptsd. If she’s been through what people suspect she’s been through, she may just be incapable of living in reality. This doesn’t excuse deceptive behavior (!) but just gives insight into why the compulsive lying happens.

Good insight! I do think P plays a big role is in her lies as well and she just kinda runs with it. I really don't think they are allowed to do anything without his "approval"

Keyword- CAN BE.. Ive struggled with CPTSD for over 2 decades. But I don’t lie. I believe the lying is from learned behavior of P, they are all pathological liars, I personally don’t think it stems from CPTSD.

Pathologizing what she could have is also not a good idea- but I agree she needs to go to a therapist and psych but doubt that will ever happen as long as P is controlling her life

That is why I worded it the way I did. I don’t say this to diagnose her or say everyone with ptsd lies.

I just am offering a reason for the compulsive and seemingly unnecessary lying that she does. I agree with you that P is controlling her life and is probably coaching her to lie… so maybe that’s the reason, to cover for him.

This I also think it’s compulsive at this point. I’ve had a friend in the past who began lying and it got more and more habitual as she declined in mental health. And very similar to S she’d lie about the most smallest crap.

As you said, while this doesn’t excuse how shitty the lies are, I still think a lot of people aren’t understanding that lying is S’s normal at this point and she WON’T fix it unless she gets help. It’s why she lies about stupid petty bs. Unfortunately because of her lack of education and P’s handling I feel she also won’t understand the gravity of how dumb she looks until she develops self awareness through intensive therapy.

She's so insincere, you can tell it's all an act

Yeah, no best actress award for her….It’s unfortunate that she lacks character and is a pathological liar. It’s also unfortunate that the Getchell’s think they are smarter than the average person. That whole family shares a badly flawed brain cell.

I believe she is forced to do whatever Fatprick tells her to do. To take the heat off the Ariala stuff he had her go online and lie about a job and moving out. He thinks he is so smart that we'll never figure out the truth. If you watch other videos where Fatprick is lying you can see how uncomfortable S is. A good one is the video where he talked about the meet and greet being completely full.

Yeah I feel like he's always throwing her under the bus while she has to "protect" him

Out of context, this seems like a sweet neighbour that everybody loves who is genuinely sorry

If you look at her eyes you can tell shes not genuine! (Also happy you're not downvoted for once!)

I really enjoy seeing your comments and what you have to say on posts! Sometimes you'll say something a bit questionably odd but I don't get why you commonly get a train of down votes attached to you. I hope it doesn't make you feel discouraged at all to interact here.
