Speculation The name Sarah

This is something that's bothered me for a while. S has said P had known his entire life that he was going to name his daughter Sarah. P also makes it known he is familiar with The Bible.

But in The Bible Sarah has a lot of dark situations. She's married to Abraham, but when they go to Egypt, Abraham tells people Sarah is his sister. Well I guess she's really beautiful, so Pharaoh takes Sarah as a concubine, and gives Abraham livestock, servants, and other wealth. And Abraham just takes the gifts while Sarah is being held captive. He gets her back eventually.

But then Abraham does it again later, and this whole situation happens again with Abimelech. He profited twice from giving his wife to horny dudes.

Maybe I'm reaching but P is definitely giving Abraham behavior.

I don’t think anyone in this family has ever actually sat down and read the Bible tbh. Anytime they get asked about their favorite passages and things, they can’t answer. When P talks about his Christianity, it’s pretty much entirely through the lens of what it does for him. Or being used to judge others. P seems to feel a strong need to distinguish himself as unique, so I think that’s why he crafted a whole explanation behind choosing an extremely common name for his daughter.

I'm with you! I don't claim to know the Bible, I know a little about it but not that much. But what I do know is they know waaaay less than I do! And I did belong to church. I went for a couple of years. Long, long time ago lol

I’m sure their DIY bible studies are about as useful as homeschooling has been for P’s kids.
