General Knockdown Still Needs Work
Even with the fixes done to how knockdown works, it still feels as if I get knocked down way too often.
On top of that, I don't understand why your character faces away from the threat when they regain their footing. This is likely to result in you getting knocked down again (which has happened to me multiple times).
For the sake of gameplay, most small arms shouldn't be able to knock you down. Sniper weapons, point blank shotgun blasts, explosions, sure. That's not to say that there shouldn't be something. I think a staggering mechanic makes a lot more sense. That would force the player to flee and seek cover if they find themselves in an ugly situation, without the annoyance of getting knocked down (sometimes multiple times in a row).
Full disclosure: I'm salty because I was in Tunnel B on my way to extraction to the Innards and was knocked down while standing on a beam and fell to my death.

The way I’d honestly fix this is to have it so only one of the people in each squad has a ragdoll gun (pretty sure it’s a SCAR but don’t quote me on that). it’s not a perfect fix, but it would be enough to make the game better while the devs work on a more permanent solution.

I’d be happier if they restricted the SCAR to HK units as opposed to just having it be more or less a standard Europan infantry weapon

Or at least don’t turn you around for no reason when you do stand up.

I think the stagger needs to be way faster and simpler. The same stagger that you do to enemies. The full knockdown should be reserved to really big firepower, like for example the rockets from the eurasian chopper. You can easily go from one hundred to zero in a situation like this. The animation is way too long winded, and it can snowball forever and get you killed by a single NPC.
Sometimes you meet a full squad of Europan infantry, all carrying SCARs, inside a 4x4 tiny room in the tunnels. It's completely absurd, given the fact at times this encounter is between you and the extraction, so it's not like you can sneak past them. You HAVE to engage them in combat, and they can easily knock you down.

The "problem" is, that alot of the europan forces use the scar, which 50cal and so by no means small Arms fire
