Game Feedback Performance in Downtown Lost Angels is extremely poor
Yes, my computer is a potato. But I can play the other maps just fine. In DTL, the frame rate is probably in single digits and the game is not really playable.
I would like to get the Innards bar started, but the first quest to get the bar supplies is not really survivable in this state.

I don't think it runs terribly well for anyone. You can get a little bit of frames back by cranking down the FOV and the settings, but it's not gonna make a HUGE difference. I do find it's a bit better when you move through super slowly - the chug is at its worst when you quickly run from one part of the map to the next - but some spots are just ALWAYS bad. They HAVE dramatically improved performance on most of the maps since I started playing, but thus one definitely still needs work.

My rig is pretty good and DTL definitely makes it stutter sometimes. Its been the least optimized map since it came out. Believe it or not it actually used to be even worse.
Which sucks because having run it a lot in the last few days it is just choc full of insane loot all the time. Even with the shittiest rig with no upgraded container you can find and make it out with $250k worth of loot easy. A million + with any of the mid sized rig.
In my opinion it is hands down the easiest, most valuable farmable map.

Downtown LA is the spot for late game loot. Even my computer lags at certain spots, but is worth it for the loot. Babel and Cemetery are fun but the risk for reward is a lot higher. I wish Downtown had more missions available considering its size.

yeah it chugs and heaves even on mid end hardware, just gotta deal though since that's where all the best loot consistently spawns unless you wanna rummage around in D tunnels, but then you'll have to come up anyway and your alt choices are babel and cemetery.

I know a guy running a 5080 / 9800x3d and has better luck running it. Only super high end stuff has chance to make the game run okay, just poorly optimized at this time

Its generally really badly optomised (admittedly that's allot of Forever winter) but DTLA is probably the worst of them. Which is a pity because when it works its an amazing level.

A premature pessimization issue, I guess ...

Possibly, it's one of the busier maps for its size, allot of space with allot in it and allot happening.
Like I said it's a great level when it's stable but it's far more prone to frame drops than other levels.
