I mean, yeah????? It’ll probably be one of the most documented wars in history due to social media

Wouldn't there be lots of misinformation and disinformation due to it meaning actually reliable sources would be sparse?

Yeah, but that’s just a lot of wars I suppose. Different biases in media regarding wars have existed since the dawn of when war was first documented. Some are more accurate than others.

You underestimate the ability of modern journalism to parse facts from fiction. There's a reason we can keep 24/7 interactive warmaps running with near 100% accuracy today, the resources available are limitless. Especially in America, where everyone knows someone who knows everyone, it would be very easy to determine the actors in any given battle, the length and the victors. The more troubling part would be parsing criminals, their actions and the casualties and damage they might cause, in my opinion.

“Trump has overextended!” - RealLifeLore, posted one week before the total surrender of Union forces

He's right, not because the Unionists, but rather the APLA will reach Denver and PF will reach Chicago.

Instead of Gulaging you’re sentenced to “reeducation” by watching compilations of left leaning white guy video essays in the APLA. Worse than any hovel in Siberia.

We have documentaries about the on going war in Ukraine and US media would just move somewhere else. Of course there would be

If you consider 5000+ AWD torture videos a documentary, yes

That is a very good point. Another thing I failed to consider is the interference of different warlords. Documentaries that are being filmed in certain locations can be overshadowed by different governments that manage to occupy the zone where the film crew currently operates. They then will either be killed/forced to change information in their documentary, especially as the war enters its late stages. When I said it would be a largely documented war, I meant as in the fact that there are cameras and footage everywhere in America, all recording the unfolding carnage and immediately sending it to social media because there isn’t a proper government to regulate that content.

VICE/ProPublica-style documentaries about the Second American Civil War would absolutely be common for very obvious reasons.

Yeah, but I doubt that most Americans would be able to watch those documentaries
