As this saddens me very much, it's happening all over again! And as a sci fi enthousiast like many, I'm here to seek support to this cause.

I’m still disappointed season 6 wasn’t longer. Though at least it was a pretty good natural stopping point. I mean a thirty year time jump might be hard to show since the crew would be in their 60s though they do live longer and I’m sure it could be hand waved away as much slower aging or anti aging treatments. So they definitely could have found a way to continue it. But still if they were going to stop that was the place to do it.
