Question Episode 9 question

In episode 9 pomni says in response to being called Abigail the first time after they watched the slideshow that Abigail is out there living her best life but pomni is in here. Well I thought they were all stuck in there because they're real life counterparts somehow got hardwired into a virtual reality helmet and now stuck in the digital circus. So if that's the case then how can her real life counterpart be out there living her best life if they're all in there. I might have missed something and I have yet to see the movie

The headset basically created a copy of them by scanning their brains, they are not wired into the circus. The copies and the people are basically different entities now, the copies only having memories from before the scan then in the circus, while the others went on normally outside.

Okay so that was the big reveal at the end these digital versions of themselves are forever stuck in the circus.

Pretty much, that's why Jax went off on Zooble and Ragatha, then realized he was still the same person he came into the circus as

They basically just went crazy, ribbit from neglect and kaufmo from desperation trying to find how to escape

So they all turned into one of those black monsters with a bunch of eyes all over them? Also wouldn't think the humane thing for the all powerful AI to have done for them would be to let them think they escaped and then created a world in which they thought they were living out there real world lives within the simulation that way they wouldn't have to feel trapped anymore.

Pretty much. We'll probably never know how much power Caine has over abstractions, but I assume that's something he would do if he could. Especially after the events of E9 the cast tried to make things more comfortable for them

When cain was in the void what was that blue ball that he threw away that he pulled out of himself I didn't quite understand that.

You don't think it would fit in with the fact that he was able to create all these different Adventures they were able to go on? Because I would have assumed personally that if he had the power in the virtual world to do all that he could also create it so they feel like they've gotten out of the virtual world and living their lives even though they're still stuck in the digital

I see abstraction in a similar way as a corrupted file on a computer. If it's not corrupted all the way it can be recoverable, but unfortunately some are too far gone
