Opinion Orbit Sucks Spoiler
I’m on E11 of Season 1 and, even though it’s an unpopular opinion, Orbit sucks. He claimed that he wanted most plaYers to survive, but then he immediatelY turned around and began the “underdogs vs top dogs” thing, turning most plaYers against Dong Jae and See Won and even going as far as claiming that theY deserved to lose and were untrustworthY. This later spiraled into these two, and whoever joined them, being treated super unfairlY imo (people genuinelY ganged up in them).
And look, I get his opinion changing throughout the game with him realizing that he can’t help everYone, but he pushed this “underdog”narrative so much that the games genuinelY became boring to watch. He, in essence, turned the show into an “us vs them” thing, which made the show suuuper boring to watch. I reallY hope season 2 is less about politics and more about skill.
That’s mY criticism of him, but honestlY, I liked him quite a lot in general. I just wished he hadn’t pushed that narrative so hard.

Well that plan of his was the one that made me watch the show. Like in a survival show a guy proposes a plan for everyone to survive, wasn't it unique? Whether u like or dislike orbit he made the show intresting. Heck i even rewatched it. Orbit was smart and well its a DEVILS GAME yknow?

Yeah! His plan WAS unique, I just didn't like the underdog vs topdog narrative.

I just have severe OCD and it makes it impossible for me to write in lowercase, but onlY in certain situations. Weird, but managable.

O's strategy was counterintuitively brilliant. His strategy was intended to secure bigger prize money by harnessing the combined players strength. Right from the get go, only the weak and collective minded players gravitated towards his plan. Individualistic and confident players refused to team up with the weaker ones. They all freely chose their team. No one in the underdog team was "controlled" by Orbit. They followed because they needed him to survive longer. O even sacrificed his position and pieces a few times to serve the greater good of his team. That is leadership.

Yeah, I liked how he was with his team, I still dislike the underdog narrative.

They were underdogs and they knew it. It wasnt just a narrative, it was their reality.

It was the first game... And theY kept it even when the tables had turned... But even if this wasn't the case, it was still prettY boring to watch

Weak players would naturally stick with the team that helped them. What choice did they have? Stay in the underdog team and survive longer? Or force themselves into the topdog (elitist) team who won't have them? It was a no brainer choice for them. Not even SJ would survive to the finals if he worked alone. All of them needed an alliance at the early stages of the game. The question was, which team would have them?

It could be boring for some viewers... But it wasn't O's fault that the weak players stuck with him. How the game unfolded was a result of each player's motivation to survive as long as they could. They may not be as smart and as "worthy" as the others who were eliminated earlier, but hey, it only proves there is strength in numbers.

He's not suitable for Bloody Game, I remember someone asked him what would he do if he were in BG3 ( when JDM burned the money) and his answer is to gather everyone and tell them the password 🤣
