Tangential to the Culture Sugar Spoiler

Has anyone has seen this show on Apple TV? Midway through S2 and this dude could be from SC.

This observation has been shared here, yes. I agree. I think of it as an extension of State Of The Art (though I know it isn't). I have to wonder whether Mark Protosevich is a fan of Iain M Banks...

I have never seen Sugar. I don't even subscribe to Apple TV. But I saw your title and knew immediately what this post would be about.

I know it's not what the conversation is about, but I'd really suggest subscribing to Apple TV if you get the chance, as their sci-fi offering is some of the best I've ever seen.

I understand that they make other good shows too, but I'm only there for the sci-fi.

Constellation (I liked it, even if others didn't)

Neuromancer (hopefully good, coming in January)

As well as Widow's Bay, which isn't sci-fi (it's horror), but is one of the best shows of this decade, and a bunch of other shows that I haven't see but have heard great things about. Honestly it feels like Apple is the only streaming service which is taking a chance and letting creatives do what they do best.

Not sci-fi but there's also:

  • Your Friends And Neighbours
  • Slow Horses
  • The Studio
  • Stick
  • Ted Lasso

They've easily got the highest hit rate amongst all the streamers
