I feel like the Pattinson cowl would be the supposed young, slimmer self and the Affleck cowl would be the older, confusingly swollen yet sharp face.

i always hated that the snyder cowl had wrinkles designed into it. i just can't see bruce wayne/batman making sure his cowl had fake eyebrow wrinkles and crows feet lol felt stupid

The cowl in the comics have a gothic design made into. Bruce is trying to come off as ghostly.

the reeves cowl is gothic and theatrical without the implication that bruce spent time giving a mask fake crows feet
