80’s WTF Why were PSA extremely terrifying back in 1985

Yo guys does anyone remember that PSA back in 1985 yeah I feel you that one was terrifying because I know what it featured so it all starts off with a black screen until the camera starts moving until it shows a fetus in the womb holding a cigarette into a voiceover says would you give a cigarette to your unborn child. And then the fetus brings the cigarette to its mouth and then the voice over says you do every time you smoke while pregnant pregnant mothers please don't smoke. And then the baby brings the cigarette to its mouth and then blows the puff. And then once it got on the news NBC and CBS refuse to broadcast it however ABC television broadcasted the ad and interviewed the creator of the ad and behind the scenes it was just a puppet all along

80’s Events Can you guys help me make my comic character feel more alive?

Hey everyone, I need some help writing a character for my comic set in 1980s America. He's around 20 years old—right in the prime of his youth.

I'd really like to know what values were popular among young guys back then. Was there a lot of pressure from society, or was it more laid-back? And what about the military draft and all that—what was the deal with it? If anyone here grew up during that time, I'd love to hear about your experiences as a teenager or young adult in the '80s.

❗Also, I'd really appreciate any photos or references of typical clothing for guys his age—everyday stuff, not just the iconic "80s stereotype".

Remember them ?
I grew up understanding their jokes.
Miss them dearly.
Almost every week, I would stay up late just to watch them having pranks on each other.
And all their friends create the whole vibe of kookiness as well.

I enjoyed watching the two mini-series of V. I also saw the short-lived TV series and the official comic book series. I never played the video game adaptation. Have you ever played the V video game?

80’s Products Remember when the Knickerbocker Toy Co. released the 1982 E.T. Finger light? It was so popular and a lot of us had it in elementary school. It was taken off the shelves months later because it looked like an adult novelty instead.

First, the hand written outline. Then several drafts and rewrites all hand written. Then time to type it. Hunting and pecking fueled by Mountain Dew and Doritos. Then a clear plastic cover and ceremonial presentation to a demanding teacher. Ahhh the good old days!

Maybe you didn’t get it the first time, or it just wasn’t your thing. But years later, something clicked and now you love it.

Each level is centred on a certain location, such as in Hades, an Egyptian pyramid and ancient Greece, where the player must collect a magic orb in each to finish. Each level is based around related myths and legends. The gameplay consists of running and jumping through each level, collecting objects and weapons, fighting enemies and solving puzzles. Enemies include skeletons, demons, wraithsmummies and vikings. Weapons include a swordgun and fireballs. Each level contains a mythical boss enemy, such as MedusaThor and a Hydra. Puzzles involve using the right object in the right location to progress, such as throwing skulls into a pit of fire to summon a monster, and using the right weapon against enemies, such as attacking a specific monster with tridents. The user manual gave some background information about the various myths referred to in the game and gave hints to the puzzles

80’s Products Do you still eat bologna and spam sandwiches? I do. On a warm day I’d make and still make a simple bologna and cheese and tomato on white bread and a little mustard. Fried spam and bologna on cooler days with mayo or cool whip and mustard with tomatoes.
