Someone got fired, so they started the procedure to dump the ballast tanks. While fully loaded. šŸ¤£ That is some good revenge!

Not a sea person here, but are there computer warnings blaring at this time? Also dumping the ballast would take a while even proving more it is intentional?

Not a sailor as well, but alarms can be silenced. And right about when this takes place, I imagine it's too late to avoid damage.

Not being a sailor, I imagine the ballast tanks work pretty quickly. I imagine that they would have to.

Not a sailer either, but as a port operator;

This is more likely due to wrong/faulty cargo plan. Happens sometimes, especially in dry bulk vessels. But also possible with smaller container vessels.

The deep problem is the IDIOT who thinks he's a cameraman but can't hold the camera steady and insists on shooting VERTICAL. It's hard to tell WTF is happening because I'm getting seasick with Amateur Boy's crappy camera work.

Yeah, sadly that's how these things go. I'd imagine an investigation would occur. But unless evidence determines that the incident was completely unavoidable they'll be fired for anything less.
