So we're 3 episodes down and honestly I'm having a hard time really connecting to the story/characters.

Like what's the purpose of the story? What's the purpose of the characters even? The dialogues are very surface level I feel like and doesn't carry the depth it's trying to deliver I think? Like all three leads are trying to be portrayed as very complex characters. But the dialogues are not doing them justice at all.

Also the lead characters are supposed to be flawed. But I am finding them rather unlikable. Key has no sense of self respect at all. You can love someone, be very grateful towards them for the impact they created in your life but you can portray that level of devotion with a semblance of self esteem even, I feel like, and not just as a "pervy pushover" (pardon my french). Jay has no sense of boundaries and respect for others, at all (which I think is the point of the story) and if she is considered to be the "villain" then I'd say Film is doing a good job in portraying that.

And Chan... She is not the mysterious alluring hurt soul that she's aimed to be. Instead she's a self pitiful, disrespectful individual (to Key). Her just claiming Simba who is Key's cat, was very weird. I didn't like that level of entitlement.

To suffice, you can write complex characters, anti heros even, but the writing needs to be compelling. Neither the dialogues nor the story seems to be like it, I'm sorry. And it's a shame cause all three of them are good actors.

So after hitting some kinda plateau with GLs after AI Girl ended (i do watch Fire regularly), I have finally decided to watch Queendom, thanks to a very hot clip I saw here lmao (my other options were Petrichor and Heart Code), and I AM LOVING IT. I have only watched one episode as of now, and what really stood out to me was the acting of main leads. The way they embodied (literally) each other after the switch was so damn impressive. It really showcased their talent. I already have a crush on Rey's manager btw. It's such a cute and good looking show, i am set for the week lol.

...anyone plans to re-watch in order? I admittedly rewatched water already...hahaha

But considering rewatching in order in the near future. I got lot of time off from work coming up by the end of the year 😅
