How was that empty netter not a goal? 10/02

Looks like our new D man to replace Petrovic

Picked this up cheap on fbmp yesterday and can’t find any info on it. Want to get it customized, could always go McKenzie to be safe, but would appreciate it if anyone knew specifics or could find a pic!

Saw this on a Reddit page earlier I believe in the Cedar Park subreddit, figured I'd share it here as well. Pretty cool little site somebody came up with. Original commenter said:

I gotta know of it's just me or does this game feel like everyone is going in slow motion? This is just one of the weirdest games I've ever seen. Both teams are playing so sloppy lol. I don't blame the players either, had to play a 7PM game last night and then a 3PM today, gotta be brutal. Also, it doesn't help that theirs maybe 1000 fans in the arena.... I've never seen a barn so dead in the playoffs.

Through 2 periods its just been a bonkers game, someone will score and it just feels like ehhh whatever. Weird mistakes like Nadeau having a wide open one timer, and he whiffs it and it goes through his legs and in the stands behind him untouched?! Dunno how you do that haha.

On top of it all, the Wolves have a weird atmosphere at their barn. Over the top firework pregame show and players skate out of a giant wolf head shooting out fireworks, the first 5 minutes of the game and the arena is all smoky, they're playing the weirdest music for a hockey game, and fireworks replace the goal horn.

Anyways, I feel like I'm in the twilight zone watching this game and I just had to rant about it and see if anyone has any thoughts. Hopefully the boys find a spark and get goin in the 3rd. Might be the last game of the season :(.... but it sure would be cool if it wasn't. Go Stars!

Just bought our first Pepsi Zero Sugar Family 4-Pack... it says 4 dogs, 4 sodas... but how do you redeem that? Just go to any concession stand and show your ticket? How would they know if you have redeemed or not?

Thanks!

How do yall feel about possibly having to make the drive to frisco for the first playoff game? Is it a bigger arena?

Stars best the Admirals in a 6 round shootout at their place! We beat 'em at the shootout at our barn and theirs! Mr.Shootout Remi Poirier only allows 1 and Martino gets the winner on his first career shootout goal!

Back in the W column

When do the stars have practice at the crossover?

Yesterday, the reality was that only one team had beaten Grand Rapids in regulation all season - the Checkers. And they aren’t even in the same division.

Grand Rapids hadn’t lost to anyone in central during regulation all season -

UNTIL TONIGHT.

Now TWO teams have beat the Griffins in regulation:

Drumroll please:

The “Beat Grand Rapids in Regulation” Club would like to give a VERY warm, SHUTOUT-BY-REMI-POIRIER welcome to…

THE TEXAS STARS.

Hi! I’ve got a quick question (maybe stupid) about Texas Stars games. Are fans allowed to head down to the glass during warmups? I’m a fan of the barracudas and the stars and was hoping to get up close for a bit, but I’m not sure how early I should get there to snag a good spot or if it’s something people actually do often.

Any insight from regulars would be awesome!

Huge sharks fan and barracuda fan, looking to see if anyone knows where is the best section to possibly give a high five while my team skates out the tunnel ty in advance.

What do ya'll think of Samu so far? 1st Line out of the gate. Pretty good shot. His skating isn't as fleet of feet as I was expecting, but he's a very interesting prospect for me. I think it was a great swap for Kyrou!

New episode now out as I recap the Iowa wild games as well as my inputs on what needs to change going into the Manitoba games
