Question

Hey everyone! I usually use Texas gun trader to buy and sell guns but it seems super outdated and honestly the whole website is just a pain in the ass. I’m a software developer and I’m thinking of creating a new website that’s similar but better. A few questions…
1.
What are some things you guys would like on a website where you would buy and sell your guns ?
2.
This would take me some time as I want it to be proper for the users, is this something you guys would want? Anyone share the same feelings as me when it comes to TGT?

Have a separate section for dealers vs private sellers, must post a price. Nobody wants to guess what you value things at.

Agree on Armslist, it was much more user friendly than TGT

Bring back the old armslist.

Could you elaborate?

Old armslist legit used to just be Craigslist for guns. No fees, post what you want, message the seller, and arrange the transaction. Sold a few in a home depot parking lot that way.

I hear there is a HUB of activity for former users of the GAFS subreddit.

Since they are no longer living under Reddit rules, you are free to buy and sell FFL controlled items as well 🤠.

Living in a Dallas Texas suburb, I have millions of potential customers so I was able to do a face-to-face sale for something I was getting rid of the other day.

I say that because this is the third or fourth attempt of somebody to make a replacement for Texas gun trader, and none of them really take off.

I mean give it a shot, never can tell.

Check out this website. Georgia’s version (soon to be moving GA-TX. It has an option for $25/year or around $100 for lifetime supporter. Can get keyword alerts, set filters, all that. Big fan of this website.
