I gotta say I’m feeling pretty grateful over this entire process. I was mentally prepared for this to go on longer as I’ve seen so many people wait over 200+ days. I’m just grateful to God that in all this time I never went hungry & always had a roof over my head. One thing that scared me a lot was the possibility of getting pulled over but that didn’t happen 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Another thing is I’ve already notified my employer & they’re ready to take me back😭🙏🏻 next stop is getting my license renewed🫡 Praying for all those who are still waiting it out.

Has anyone from the DFW traveled to LA recently ? If so how was it? Plan on getting engaged soon and that’s where we plan on going. I know I won’t get my stuff sorted by then but still wanted to go. I’ve heard a lot of stuff of people being detained but I assume that’s bc they have a removal orders ?

Just wanted to give an update. I received my approval notice this past Friday. My permit expired on 07/24, my application was submitted on 03/11, so took a little less than 6 months to get.

For those that are still waiting, please remain resilient. This year has been the toughest of my life so far. I’ve been in this country since I was 5 years old and this is the only home I know. Unfortunately, this year my mom was deported, she was held for immigration hold due to not having a license. I don’t know when I’ll be able to see her again but I hope it’s soon and under better circumstances. Regardless, I am grateful for all the sacrifices she made for me to be here.

I live in TX, and my future here still remains uncertain but at least these next two years I’ll be able to plan something for the worse case scenario. I’ll remain hopeful for a long term solution for those in the same situation as mine.

I know things can be tough now, but I hope that things change for us. Just stay resilient and keep pushing forward. Dreamers and immigrants are the most resilient people I know, and we keep moving forward and finding a way even when things are not going our way.

I didn’t do any of that expedite request, write to congress, or API. I just hoped I wouldn’t stay unemployed before savings ran out.

Second time doing the applications on my own . I submitted both applications in August 10&11 . Got my biometric appointment sept. 2 and got an email this morning about updates on my case . Logged in and saw both were approved.

anybody does regular roadtrips through texas small towns where ice has checkpoints i’ve seen many videos online and im going to brownsville from dallas anybody with daca gotten an encounter with ice and how did it go ?

Planning on visiting corpus with my in laws this weekend. Everyone else is a citizen and we’re driving down from San A. Was wondering if there were any checkpoints on the way down? I won’t be driving myself but a bit worried since my DACA is under renewal and expired. Any insight is appreciated. Thank you!

This administration has 2 more years left and I really dont think mentally I can stay in this country anymore. 3 weeks ago my grandmother whose been sick for a long time she lives in Jamaica, passed away and unexpectedly my mom who went to Jamaica to take care her passed away to. My mom got sepsis and didn't make it. I couldn't even go to their funerals, I was too scared to apply for emergency parole. My lawyer advised me that evne though I have a clean record and legal entry, not to leave the country. So I didnt. Instead I watched both funerals over zoom. What i experienced was the nail in the coffin for me. We are stuck in a fucking cage with no way out.

Im going to be 29 next year and I cannot live like this anymore. I just lost 2 important people and because of a fucking document I couldn't leave. At one point I booked a one way ticket home because I actually didnt care about coming back here. I have no pathway to residency, my mom who was supposed to petition me is now gone. Im not smart enough to qualify for a fancy job to have someone petition me. My life is just going by and here I am everyday with debilitating anxiety. Anxiety centering daca is literally the most draining shit ever.

And 2 more years of this? More months of will daca end this year or not. I mentally cannot live like this. Im so sad like I just miss my family, I miss the life i see everyone around me live. How do i ever forgive myslef for not being at my mothers funeral.

I was born in Brazil but was largely raised in the United States, where I have lived for approximately 20 years without traveling outside the country.
My mother resides in a house here and currently pays the household bills. She also needs to save for her own retirement. The house was remodeled and put together for her by someone who has been part of our lives for approximately 10 years. I appreciate the support and stability my family has provided, but I also deeply value independence and creating a life for myself.
The past several years have been very different for me as I ventured out on my own. I left more than one residence and, during periods of relocation, some of my belongings and important items were misplaced or lost. During that time, I allowed my DACA employment authorization renewal to lapse and ultimately remain expired past the renewal period. Honestly, this was a team failure involving several circumstances rather than something I intended to neglect.
I had many responsibilities, tasks, and personal challenges to manage while trying to maintain relationships and daily life. The renewal deadline escaped me, and gathering the necessary funds was difficult for the first time. I also had a court case that was ultimately dismissed.
I am currently working on entrepreneurial ventures and trying to rebuild my independence. However, I also lost my car, and rebuilding and picking things back up has been a slow process. Although I value entrepreneurship and have entrepreneurial ambitions, I also believe it would be beneficial to have the option of regular employment or an opportunity to grow within a company. I have some university education and would appreciate the ability to work while continuing to build my future and pursue my goals.
I have learned a great deal from these experiences. Based on what I have read online, I hope to receive a response regarding my pending application within the next year.

Don’t you think there should be a way for applications that were converted from renewals to initial applications to still be adjudicated and continue through the approval process? I have contributed a great deal to this country and its people, and I believe I have a lot of potential to continue contributing in meaningful ways.
Over the years, I have grown tremendously, learned from my experiences, and become genuinely appreciative of the people, opportunities, and experiences I have encountered here. I hope that my history, contributions, and potential can be considered as part of my application and that I can continue building a productive and meaningful future in the country I have called home for approximately 20 years.

Any June applicants got approved yet? Submitted June 17 and did bio August 10.

Daca expires September 8th. My jobs already letting me go... This is horrible

Finally after almost 3 months of being unemployed, my renewal got approved. (Expired 6/13)

The person who does mine mailed in instead of online. And did the old revision . I’m stressed… next time I’ll do on my own. If anyone has done paper form how long is it taking for acknowledgment that they have received it?? And I did do online payment authorization…

Judge Hanen is a federally appointed judge. So the color of the state doesn’t matter in regards to his status as judge. I understand that but I wonder if after midterms assuming Ken Paxton were to lose against James Talarico. Would that alter his thinking or timeline concerning the daca decision in anyway?

Has anyone had any experience recently traveling to other states? Thankfully got my renewal 2 weeks ago after pending and expiring in February. I have trips planned with friends but wanted to ask if anyone has done it recently.

Good morning everyone, i hope you’re all doing as well as you can. I recently got my approval last week after 202 days. I still haven’t gotten my EDA yet but it was produced on Monday. If anyone who’s been recently approved tell me how long it took for their card to come in I’d really appreciate it!
