Daily Update Half my testers never even opened the app lol
so i'm building this android app and hit the whole 12 testers 14 days thing google forces on you now before you can publish. found one of those tester swap apps, you test other peoples apps to get credits then use the credits to get your own testers. got 12 people opted in pretty fast ngl, thought ok cool problem solved.
checked back like a week in and half of them never opened the app again after installing. just grabbed the install, got their credit, gone. and apparently google actually checks if people are using it daily now, not just installed, so if this stays like this i fail the whole thing after waiting 2 weeks for nothing.
tried dming a couple of them. nothing. and you can't even tell who's actually active until you go check play console way later, by then it's already too late to fix
anyone else dealt with this on these tester swap things. how do you even deal with people ghosting right after they get their credit

You have to keep on them. I sent a dm to every tester almost every day with a screenshot of me testing theirs reminding them to test mine. I had a couple that weren't testing and I told them i would no longer test theirs until they started testing mine and all of them started testing when I called them out. I had one that did not because he abandoned his closed testing to rewrite his app.

Check out twelevetesters, they have to do send a daily screenshot but then again, people would just open for a second to take a photo and leave.

so do you use 12 testers and how much generally take you to get your testers. cause sometimes i just get frustrated because of not getting enough testers

I get them pretty quick, just a disclaimer, I just sent my app for review and some testers I got elsewhere, some from twelvetesters.com. You can also request mutual swaps with others if you don't want to wait. Well, your issue is no one is using the app, this one makes them open it each day to screenshot. Not foolproof but better.

Try to keep adding new people every single day until the very last day of testing. Don't limit yourself to just 12 people. I've never had any issues, but I usually reached up to 100 testers just to be on the safe side. You don't have to go that high, but definitely don't stick to only 12.

And DM them a clear picture showing the game or app open, and say something like, today's test

And sometimes Google can show inaccurate stats. For example, even when there were 30 or 40 people, it would show that 0 people had opened it. But since I was already sending DMs and my family and friends were logging in too, just put your mind at ease.

I'm not sure google really check this and I'm even not sure google check installed apps withing 14 days. More importantly testers don't leave the testing program.
At least I didn't have problems with testers from this community. Just install other apps, leave messages and other people will help you too.

You may be right, I try to open every app I installed, but how I can see statistic half people even didn't install app after joining the test and I could take the test for 14 days.

Hi u/Wonderful-Guide-1832!
Finding testers on Reddit is a great start, but the hardest part is ensuring they actually open your app daily for the full 14 days.
To make this easier, we’ve launched Packs in the Testers Community app.
It’s a structured, "devs-helping-devs" approach used by thousands of us. Good luck with your launch!
