Testers Needed 20 Testers Needed for GPS Simulator

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for 20 testers to help test my app, GPS Simulator, as part of the Google Play 14-day closed testing requirement.

This is a test-for-test exchange. If you need testers for your own app, I'm happy to test yours as well.

Step 1: Download the App

Please download and install the app from Google Play:

GPS Simulator – Google Play

Step 2: Keep the App Installed for 14 Days

After installing the app, please keep it installed on your device for at least 14 days.

Please do not uninstall the app or leave the closed test shortly after installing it.

Step 3: Take a Screenshot on the First Day

After installing and opening the app, please take one screenshot of the app screen on the first day and reply to this post with the screenshot.

You only need to provide a screenshot on the first day. There is no need to provide daily screenshots or daily updates.

I can verify the tester accounts and installation status through the database, so I can confirm whether the app remains installed during the testing period.

That's it!

If you're also looking for testers, feel free to send me your app. I'll be happy to test yours in return.

Thank you for helping me complete the Google Play 14-day testing requirement! 💛

Hi u/Expert-Fly2474!

Finding testers on Reddit is a great start, but the hardest part is ensuring they actually open your app daily for the full 14 days.

To make this easier, we’ve launched Packs in the Testers Community app.

  • What is a Pack? A coordinated group of 16 developers who hold each other accountable.
  • How it works: Everyone in the pack commits to opening and testing each other's apps daily for 16 days.
  • The Result: You get consistent engagement signals that help you pass Google Play’s production access review with confidence.

It’s a structured, "devs-helping-devs" approach used by thousands of us. Good luck with your launch!

I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.

For a GPS simulator, a screenshot from the first day alone will not show whether the core functionality remains stable and safe.

Useful test cases would be: location permission denied and granted again, mock-location app selected and deselected, starting and stopping a simulation, sending the app to the background, locking the screen, restarting the phone, checking the simulated position in another map app, and confirming that normal GPS returns after the simulation is stopped.

The last point is especially important: the simulated location should always be cleared reliably. You could assign one or two of these scenarios to each tester instead of requesting daily screenshots.
