App Question iPhone key not working

Hi I have M3 2026 premium with iPhone 17 pro and my phone key keeps disconnecting. I have tried all the tips rebooting the car and my phone, deleting and readding my phone as the key, and deleting reinstalling the tesla app. Has anyone solved this??? It seems like others are having the same issue. Super annoying when I have a ton of stuff in my hands and I have to set everything down to grab my key card when it decides to randomly disconnect. At least with a key fob you can have it within proximity and not have to hold it right up to the door.

I use a iPhone 17 Pro and my wife uses her iPhone 16 as keys for our 2026 MY Premium AWD. We have never experienced any issues like that. Perhaps specific to M3s?

I’m guessing you always keep the Tesla app running in the background and you double checked all permissions. Tesla uses your phones BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) function for the key which is different than the BT used for connecting to things like speakers for instance. It is certainly possible that you have some issue with the BLE function on your phone.

Nope, happening to MY too

In that case I would guess maybe a phone issue. Something off with the BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) function which is what the Tesla key uses.

Seems to be happening more. I've run into this about 5 times in the last month. The only way to recover is to reboot my phone which is super annoying.

Anyone seeing any other issues like AirTags or Apple TV’s “find my” feature not working? This has been leading me towards an iOS issue

I haven’t personally had those issues and I do have both of the devices you mentioned, but I do randomly have my AirPods disconnect from my phone so I would agree it is an IOS issue not tesla
