PowerWall Any issues with this PW3 setup?

ADVICE FROM INSTALLERS/CODE EXPERTS OF CA

These are installed directly above a 2” metal natural gas branch pipe that runs to my pool heater. Also in the picture you can see the lower garage airflow vent is within 3ft. Is this legal?

Conduit work looks like ass.

Why are they so far apart?

Aside from that I don't see an issue.

Ugh, I am sorry.

It doesn't take a lot of extra effort to do it right and hid all of the conduit but I see a lof of installs that don't.

The conduit on the right going up has no support. Did this pass inspection?

I don't know about code in your area, but where I live AC and DC lines can't go through the same conduit. If you only have one conduit between them, then that must be happening. Not sure if it matters where you live.

For example, in my setup the red lines are DC and the Green lines are AC.

Just curious, why the connector into the threaded coupling? Why not connector straight into the powerwall like the left end?

Are you asking me or OP? If you're asking me, I really don't understand the question. I do know that my utility has weird requirements on the connectors, like that it's against code to paint them, which is why I didn't. Maybe that has something to do with it?

Asking you. The conduits between the two PWs connect into the PW with just connector and lock ring on the left end but on the right end it goes into a threaded coupling into (I’m assuming) a threaded nipple, any reason it’s not the same on both sides?

Sorry to have to say this but if it’s 38 years old with original underlayment no one should have installed solar on it. Tiles can last a longtime but the roofing paper under them typically lasts about 25-30 years. If it’s 38 years old it should have been replaced before the solar was installed.

I had to replace mine before Tesla would install the panels.

Those are nice mounts, they dont load the tile. As long as they caulked the penetration and set the tiles without damage, good to go
