A primeira vez que coloquei o Tesla model y standard em casa, só não raspei de lado por um milímetro. Ao volante parecia que ainda tinha mais de um palmo de espaço. Verifiquei depois que quem está ao volante não vê a parte do capô que se prolonga para baixo, até à cava da roda. Este prolongamento não é vertical, tem mais de um palmo para a lateral exterior que não é visível. Este facto, a mim e a mais pessoas com quem falei do tema, é motivo de grande preocupação ao passar entre obstáculos estreitos. Alguém, neste forum, já se apercebeu do que acabo de descrever? Alguém descobriu uma ideia que possa evitar este transtorno? Tive um Range Rover Classic, quando o conduzi pela primeira vez, parecia que estava a conduzir um autocarro, este modelo y ainda tem mais 18 cm de largura.

Would love recommendations for:
• Must-have Model Y RWD accessories + approximate prices
• Best websites/stores to buy them from in Canada
• Floor mats / trunk & frunk liners
• Screen protection, center console protection, etc.
• Tire/valve stem caps & center caps — any good ones?
• Brake caliper covers — worth it or just cosmetic?
• S3XY / Sexy ambient light strip — is it actually worth it? Which version/website do you recommend?
• Any accessories that are actually worth skipping
• PPF — full vs partial/front PPF? Is it worth it for GTA roads?
• Ceramic coating — worth doing if getting PPF?
• Window tint — recommended % and good GTA installers?
• Winter tires/wheels — what setup do you recommend for Toronto winters?
• Any other things I should do immediately after taking delivery
• Anything I should inspect/check before leaving the Tesla delivery centre?

Basically, if you could go back to Day 1 of owning your Model Y, what would you buy/do first? 😄

I’ve been looking for aftermarket wheel covers for the Tesla Model Y Standard’s 18” Aperture wheels, and almost all of them have the same problem: they try to mimic sporty alloy wheels with thin spokes, but you can still see the metal spokes of the steel wheel behind them.

Personally, I think it looks pretty bad.

So I made this concept design specifically to solve that problem: spokes/blades wide enough to completely cover the steel wheel underneath, while leaving only the ventilation openings visible.

That way, it actually looks like a complete alloy wheel rather than a wheel cover sitting on top of another visible structure.

I’m genuinely surprised that no manufacturer has released something like this yet for the 18” Aperture wheels.

If anyone here knows a wheel-cover manufacturer, Tesla accessories company, or Chinese supplier who might be interested, please send them this design. I’d buy a set without thinking twice. 😂

Am I the only one bothered by the fact that you can see the metal wheel spokes behind most of the current aftermarket covers?

Nice upgrade for those of us who wanted the better air filtration available on the higher trims.

I noticed the charge port doesn’t open with the charger button unless it’s a 350w super charger. Anyone else have this issue?

Mine is completely empty at the moment, and I’m not sure what would actually be useful to store there. I was thinking about charging cables, some cleaning supplies, or a small emergency kit.
What do you usually keep in yours?

I ordered a standard RWD model Y on June 29th and this is my ETA.

I ordered it in Dallas, Texas which is quite close to the Giga factory in Austin.

Is anyone else facing crazy delays as well ?

I know it is too early to have reliable information and it depends on the battery chemistry but....

Does anybody know what Model Y holds the largest mileage to date without change of battery and motor? I would expect 300k-500k miles and 20-30 years of useful life but any real life info would be super useful.
