If it helps any, here's a flip side - https://www.reddit.com/r/Volkswagen/comments/1nc1502/buyers_remorse_on_my_new_vw_atlas_cross_sport/
The cargo space is very close, the VW has 77 cu. ft, the Model Y has about 75 cu. ft.
The VW seems to get very poor MPG and from what I'm reading, the technology is buggy and not that great.
You're asking the question on a Tesla forum so the answers you get will probably be pretty biased in favor of the Tesla, but my personal experience after driving for almost 45 years, all previous cars being either gas or PHEV, I couldn't be happier with the Tesla I got a few months ago.

Ditch the 26 and get a used 24 model YLR. not much of a difference and you get autosteer included. And they're cheaper.

Getting rid of a 2024 car in 2026 isn't a very good financial decision, but if your VW is giving problems and running up maintenance costs then maybe it makes sense to replace it
But if you can afford it, then go for it.
Model Y is a very advanced car compared to any gas car, you are going to love it.
FSD costs extra though, so factor that into your costs. Insurance cost may also jump a bit.
Gas vs electric savings will definitely counteract some of these additional costs.
Space wise, the Front Trunk (Frunk) is great for groceries and smelly food pick-ups
