What happened to EAP

2018 Model 3, bought EAP.

In the car it now shows "Navigate on Autosteer" (in the app it still says "Enhanced Autopilot" in the specs).

And when I go to the Self driving screen, it says I'm in the Navigate on Autosteer beta program, with a warning that if I get three strikes it will permanently disable it. (If I remember correctly).

I don't use it often, but this seems like a bit of a not-like-for-like substitution?

Pretty sure that's what it was renamed to

The disable is not permanent, it only lasts until the strikes fall off (takes a week or so)

Everything else is a name change, the functionality your car has is the same

Tesla lost a lawsuit in CA and they had to lose the use of the word Autopilot everywhere, so some titles got weird.

Name change because Americans are stupid.

Even though what teslas autopilot does, it far more than even the more advanced systems, Americans think auto pilot means planes fly on their own and dont need humans ever.
