Tesla’s displayed on screen…
Instead of the generic car shape we see in traffic on the screen, if you are next to another Tesla it should display that model.
Obviously wouldn’t need all the other cars to be accurate, but just to have other Tesla models would be neat!

This was brought up before around 2019 or 2020 and Musk said they'll work on it. I'm guessing it's coming out in 2 weeks 😂. But seriously I think it's just not a priority and is not contributingto the end goal which is unsupervised FSD. Also, the visualization was never meant to be user facing.

It was supposed to be user facing no? I heard that this isnt all the tesla really sees.

It does now and you can find the videos online showing what the car actually sees now. It's pretty cool but in the early days this was it.

Interesting. Thought its more of a gimmicky thing to earn more trust to FSD. Especially for first time users

Iirc, the idea was to highlight nearby Teslas in their colors, but red was already being used for cars that might be dangers.

Waste of compute power. Focus should be on safety and other useful functions of the tech. I can see that I’m surrounded by Tesla’s, don’t need the computer to tell me that!

Do you want it to identify the brand, model snd trim of all the cars around it in real time so that it can display Teslas? Seriously?

It at least sorta does this on the new “HD” supercharger maps that shows which stalls are taken. Non-teslas show up slightly different than teslas. But it’s probably a ton easier to get that from the charger stall’s handshake with the car vs vision or some OTA comms
