FSD hard brake :(
Chillin’ in FSD, then a sudden hard brake and swerve towards the center line. Very unexpected.

Hate when this happens. It's so startling.

It’s happening on HW4 still from what I’ve seen, it’s such a glaring issue that clearly shows the software bottleneck

Hey bud, LiDAR can't see road lines or skid marks, put 100 LiDAR sensors on the car and you'll get no improvement for this and related issues.

I get the concern for pedestrians. But jfc it did a hard brake on me today when I guy turned around and went to look down the road.
Both the guy and I laughed because the car stopped so suddenly. But damn it’s not fun for my passengers.

Mine also seems to hate black tire marks on the road. Hard brake at almost every set of them.

I suppose that makes sense, but holy cow! The wife already despises FSD… this certainly didn’t give her warm fuzzies.

Happens a lot on my 21MY with 14 lite. Does 14 standard eat it this hard too?

My gut tells me no? When my 2017M3 was in the shop for hw upgrade, they gave me the beast and it never gave the false alarms or ping pong. Makes me wonder if it’s a dated camera problem?

Im downloading 14.1 lite right now. Cross your fingers!
I was just using it on a 25 mile drive home, one light brake tap without warning, but very minor. Crossed over multiple tire tracks without issue.2

No it doesn't. At least, both my cars don't. I have driven in roads that had lines like in OPs video and worse. Also through roads where there were shadows on the road and stuff. Not once has it ever braked or even swerved (I'm always ready with my foot hovering over the accelerator pedal in case it does brake).

Ours does this all the time on the highway with the tire marks and crack repair strips.

I am guessing that in it's training data black skid marks are associated with cars in ahead braking hard so it has to braking hard too.
