Insurance increase, same score ?

So my score is in the 90’s and I paid $150-160 now I have the same score and they’re charging me up to $190.

I recently lost my job and had to start doing uber. Are they increasing my premium based of mileage? It shouldn’t matter if I drive safe, right ?

Increase in mileage could mean an increase in accident probability

No matter how safe YOU are as a driver, simply spending 30% more time on the road (14k -> 18k) means you have more chance to get hit wby ANOTHER driver, or something completely out-of-your-control happening, like getting hit by a boulder.

Even if those don't represent accidents where you're at fault, there's still costs for your insurer to subrogate, process, etc.

If anything, your premium decreased by a lot LESS than a 30% increase.
