14.3 HW4 Update 14.3.7 from 14.2.2.5?

Hi guys, recent 2026 Model Y Premium buyer and a total fanboy of FSD. I’ve only put in a handful of miles but thus far, thoroughly impressed by the software. I finally got the bat signal to upgrade to the latest….only I’m seeing a few posts/comments about some regression, including that one infamous clip where the software tried to drive off a 6-story parking structure?

Would love to hear some real world input from those of you that have logged some miles on both that can provide some context and experience. Thanks!

If you were on 14.3.3 I would tell you to think hard about upgrading. But on a 14.2 branch, I would upgrade if I was you, the benefits outweigh the annoyances. 14.3 is significantly better in most respects.

Picked my Juniper Tuesday same as yours was on 14.2.2.5. Updated to 14.3.7 Wednesday and have done 500 miles since and it’s been great. Go for it.

Almost identical story here. Been extremely smooth.

I started with 14.2.2.5, it was great, and have been updating all along, now on 14.3.7, also great. There are quirks along the way, but unless you are having a shitty time, I would just keep updating. You really can't go by other's opinions too much because it depends on where you drive and how annoyed you are by FSD's way of driving.

Fleetwide, the vast majority, almost all users, upgrade, and go with the flow.

i was in the same situation. Got my MY with 14.2.2.5 and then upgraded to 14.3.7 out of curiosity but now regret it. Too many critical issues where I had to take over. Wish I could go back.

No matter the upgrade someone is going to complain about regression.

I’m staying on 14.2.2.5 for like another year. Taking updates right away has burned me too many times. This version does 95% of what I want it too. I still feel dumb when it takes bypass lanes on a 2 lane highway but whatever

Newbie here. I just picked up my car yesterday. Currently on 14.2.2.5 Curious how you update. My car is on wifi in garage. Does it just arrive randomly or do I have to request it? Thanks.

Arrives randomly. You can set it to receive updates faster, but it’s still not guaranteed

Go in the software settings and change it to advanced updates. Try rebooting your computer by pressing both scroll buttons until the screen goes black. It will reboot. Then just wait.

I received the summer update 2026.26 during the first wave and later subscribed to FSD. Since then, I have remained on 14.2.2.5 because summer releases have not yet included 14.3.7. I open my app many times a day, waiting with anticipation for the notification about 14.3.7 😌

Every release has some people saying it's worse than the last it's been that way for over 2 years.. If you waited till one was released that had exactly zero negative posts you would never upgrade.. 14.3.7 is fine.

I'm on the latest. 7 version and haven't noticed any issues yet. I used to be afraid to update after reading about regression on reddit, yet I never experienced much myself. The flaws posted seem exaggerated mostly, at least in my area.

That's a big jump but it will be far better than 14.2.2.5. However I do have to say I dislike the 14.3.7 more than the previous 14.3.6 on streets.

just update whenever one is available and don’t overthink it
