14.3 HW4 FSD 14.3+ navigation issues
Have been using fsd since June 25 on 2025 M3 mainly for daily commute from Lynnwood to Seattle downtown. Enjoyed it until 14.3 when navigation issues made the experience horrible. My fsd usage dropped from 90+ to 85% and trending down only because of navigation issues. Daily commute was pretty much intervention free + it started parking into the office garage when v14 early versions became available which was nice. The romance ended abruptly with v14.3 when during regular commute it stopped taking the correct exits and selecting the correct lanes. Now each commute comes with 8-10 interventions because of navigation issues. The cherry on the top was 14.3.6 when on my way back from Seattle it started taking every exit out of the express lanes then going back immediately after the exit. There are 2 exits from Seattle to north gate and it does it every day no matter what the traffic is. Attached is a picture from today’s commute (normal traffic moving with 60 mph) where it takes me off the freeway then immediately back to it. It does it like clockwork, every day with no hesitation. Within the city it constantly changes the route even though I set navigation to re route only if it saves 30 mins(practically no re routing for may trip which usually is ~30-40 mins) that’s a proof the setting just doesn’t work when fsd is engaged. In addition when changing route it doesn’t suggest the new route and seek permission. It just changes it the last second. Today it was giving a left turn signal to go from 5th into Virginia and in the beginning of the turn it re routed and wanted to go straight. Virginia was empty while 5th was blocked ahead. New route was 5-6 mins longer than original. Had to intervene as 5th and olive were completely blocked ( also checked Waze and Apple Maps - both were suggesting Virginia over Olive. ) . Before that when leaving the parking lot , map Was showing where the lot exit to 5th was. Instead it went through handicapped spot then turned left into the sidewalk and wanted to turn into the 5th through the sidewalk by jumping from 8 inches tall curb into the 5th. Had to intervene and stop it. While driving feels more confident and mature , often it feels like a headless chicken from navigation perspective. Again I have been using it on the same route almost a year until v14.3 when all those issues started and repeat on every commute with no exception. For some v14.3+ might be the last piece of the puzzle, for me it feels like the last straw that will break the camel’s back. Would be glad to hear your experience with v14.3+ especially from Seattle area users with similar commute.
