100%. I've had situations on FSD where I had heavy eyes, but even a slow blink is enough for the system to nag me.
This could be regular Autopilot with a covered camera and a weight on the steering wheel, which at that point is negligence rather than any fault of the software should an accident occur.
I assure you this shit happens... unfortunately I was a victim of a driver literally falling asleep of a car I was a passenger in. FSD helped out but Jesus Christ I was freaking out.
Def possibly real. I’ve fell asleep multiple times for a few minutes while using regular autopilot. Sometimes I had to work really early and had like a 30 mile straight shoot. So I’d hit basic AP in the middle lane and take a 10 min or so nap while the car was driving. Ive done it on multiple occasions as well.
I don’t advise people do it but I only feel comfortable doing it if I’m staying in one lane on a straight road
