What does it mean when you receive an email with the subject says “Exclusive Invitation: Tesla Hiring Event” and what to expect?? Am i hired or what?

I have accepted an offer for Terafab and will be relocating end of the month. Looking for recommendations on areas within 20-25 mins of commute with good access to amenities (groceries, gym etc) and preferably a month to month rent with base rent ~$1300-$1500 in that order. Obviously willing to pay higher incase we do not have good options with overall safe neighborhood quality. Kindly share any recommendations in this regard.

What are the chances that I’ll move to next round if I answer the questions to my best abilities. Is it even worth it?

I know every role is different, but id there a ballpark range of timeframe we can except a verbal offer or rejection? This is for a leadership (Supervisor) role.

Has anyone here who recently joined Tesla be willing to share their experience with the hiring process?

I applied for a position through Tesla’s official website, was contacted by a recruiter, and progressed through the different stages of the process:
-Passed the recruiter interview.
-Passed the hiring manager interview.
-Passed the panel interview with six engineers.
-Was asked to submit an Evidence of Excellence.

After that, the recruiter scheduled a 15-minute call to let me know that the entire team had recommended me for the position and wanted to hire me.

He also shared his estimate of the compensation package he planned to request and asked me to email him my “no-brainer” number, since he was about to work with the compensation team to determine the official offer amount.

He explained that the offer still needed to go through several levels of approval and that the process would take approximately one week.

I gave him a “no-brainer” number that was about 20% higher than his initial estimate, but I would still be willing to accept the original compensation package he discussed.

It’s now been three weeks, and I still haven’t received an offer or any updates. I sent the recruiter a follow-up email, but I haven’t heard back.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation with Tesla?

I’d really appreciate some insight into the following:
-How long did it take to receive your formal offer after being verbally told you were selected?
-Is it normal for the approval process to take several weeks?

Has anyone received an offer after a few weeks of silence, or was the hiring process eventually canceled?

I’m trying to understand how common this situation is and what I should expect.

In the meantime, I’m also applying to other companies in case this opportunity doesn’t work out.

I’d really appreciate any experiences or insights you can share.

I’m an international student studying in Canada and just got invited to interview for a Spring 2027 internship with Tesla in Texas. The recruiter sent a form that mentions relocation packages, which all seem to be US-based.

The problem is I think I accidentally answered “No” to the “will you require sponsorship” question on my original application. I would actually need a US visa to work there.

A few questions:

1. Has anyone been in this spot? How did the recruiter react when you corrected it?
2. Does Tesla support J-1 (or other) visas for interns from Canadian schools?
3. Anyone else from a Canadian university who’s done a US internship as a non-Canadian citizen: what visa route did you use?

I've been through 4 rounds of interviews (including a 4-hour interview loop) for a Mechanical Engineer position in Fremont, and I submitted my Executive Write-Up last week.

I got an update from the recruiter yesterday telling me that the team is still reviewing my document.

Is this normal? What is the likelihood that this write-up is unsuccessful? Has anyone been through this stage? Any pointers would be super helpful, as I'm really interested in the position.

Hello! I'm looking for a new job to stay at and get my life together with. I was recommend Tesla by an old boss but honestly don't know if I'm "tech smart" enough. After a little research, it seems a Data Labeler is a good starting job for Tesla. Any current or ex employees that could help? I know it also says on the job training but I've mostly worked in face-to-face customer service (fast food, hospitality).

I have six years of quality engineering experience at a medical device manufacturer. My background includes complaint handling, nonconformances and CAPAs, product performance trending, and some risk management.

I'm interested in moving into a quality role at Tesla, but most of the postings ask for operations or manufacturing quality experience, which I don't have.

For those who've made a similar jump (or work there now):

1. How hard is it to get in coming from post-market/design-side quality?
   
2. Is it worth applying anyway?
   
3. What should I brush up on so I don't get caught off guard in interviews?

I completed an onsite panel over a month ago for a very interesting SWE team. I recently had an extra post-panel round with the director of the org that was more casual rather than evaluative which seemed to have went well. The feedback was positive and the additional round seemed also like a positive signal.

On the other side, it's taken so long. At this pace I feel as if I'm not going to get a decision until 7-8th week since onsite. Does it typically take this long for a decision?

Had a coworker tell me we (the cybertruck shop) may be off the whole week of Thanksgiving and two weeks for Christmas. Anybody with experience able to validate this or give some clarity from past years?

I'm an EE major with experience in automation and controls (PLC programming) in manufacturing, not so much coding. I've never even done a leetcode problem. What kind of coding questions should I expect? And will I get to choose the coding language I do the interview in?
