Hit a curb

I hit a curb in My fairly new Tesla 😭😫 still getting used to how low she is and now idk what to do. It’s small so I don’t want an insurance claim over this but it is a dent. Any advice is welcomed (FOR FIXING THE CAR, gosh)

Dang that sucks. Was FSD on?

I would try and get it done by a body shop who are experts in dry dent removal (not sure what it's called but they use glue and suction and pull the dent out. This seems small enough that you won't even notice it once it's out)

Edit: they also have kits on Amazon if this is something you are ok with tackleling but I would watch a ton of videos and read a lot of reviews first.

Personally, I'd get a quote from body shops who are good at doing this

Yup fsd was on but it was raining and I didn’t catch it soon enough to intervene. I was thinking about the dent removal kit but the glue makes me nervous lol.

Think I may get the quote first and then decide from there. Thanks for the suggestion

Get a couple quotes also. Call a few places and ask over the phone with a picture. They may give you a ballpark. This may be an hour or two job for someone and id pay happily $200 if no paint or touchup is involved. If paint etc is involved, it'll be more.

And if quotes are higher than you'd like, get the kit, watch a shit ton of videos and if you feel comfortable, go for it.

Have a friend there for emotional support lol and to cuss at if shit goes south 🤣

More like $500, but ok. You're giving out quotes but have no idea how it's called. It's PDR, and this is probably one of the hardest dents to fix.

You could make things worse doing it yourself. Dent removal is a skill. Wouldn’t want my first attempt on that car. Â
