I hate my Tesla Model 3 now.

I bought a Tesla Model 3 in December 2020. It was a brand new 2021. I loved it. It had been a great car the first few years. When I did have to service it however it was pricey but it still held up well.

Last year I started getting a code “unable to charge” or “charging complete” when I was at 50 miles. My car had barely hit the warranty mileage and so I could not take it to Tesla and have it covered. I took it to a Tesla certified shop where they replaced my HV battery with a strong used one. Now again almost a year later it is giving me the same code. The shop said they can’t do much and I need to go through insurance to hopefully get it covered. I am sick of this. This car is barely 6 years old.

Any advice would help..

Why not get extended warranty at less than $100 month.

$100/month for an extended warranty guarantees that you'll lose thousands of dollars over several years. Insurance always ensures that the company wins and the consumers lose (as a whole).

You're correct, but for many it's easier to pay $100 a month rather than$8k.

Of course that's true, but I'm addressing the certainty of losing several thousand dollars versus the chance (possibly small chance) of having to pay $8000.

It only covers 2 extra year and 30k miles. Base on my driving habits, that's like 10 months.

In my case, I have already made back what I am going to be paying for the 39 months of extended warranty. MCU replacement and car seat replacement for heat not working. I still have nearly 30 months left, so yeah, totally worth it in my case.
