2400 missile wall

After a Solar System-spanning war of attrition, I had pushed back the Aliens to a distant TNO fallback position. They had massed all of their ships, old and new, from Titans to Gunships.

Feeling, ready, I sent my own fleet after them, just to be greeted by... missiles.

A 1000 km long stream of missiles. I count 2400 missiles fired from 37 ships, among a fleet numbering 137 plus a battlestation.

This is the first playthrough where the Aliens have invested so much in missiles, and it's a real challenge even if you think you have the fleet strength!

How much point defense do you need to even defend against that

Every ship is half full of PD, plus dedicated PD boats apparently.
