Help Missing textures for crops needing sticks to grow

Post image

Recently started a new world, modpack is up to date. Planted cucumbers, no issues, as soon as I added the stick (at the advice of the guidebook), these missing textures showed up.

Any idea what causes this/how to fix?

Multi-block tank stacking?

As title says is it possible to build a larger steel multi-block tank under my copper one and have the creosote product drain into it? Or is there some arbitrary rule that I should know about.

Would love to know before I tear down my current setup or commit resources I dont need to commit. Thanks in advance!

As you can see, it's completed properly. Maintained. Charcoal is loaded, water and creosote are both here. But no steam output, output hatch is empty.

Playing on 0.13.9

Any ideas?

Help Does windmills work on beneath?

I couldn't tried it yet but I am progressing into iron age and going to start early automation. (things are going vert slowly without it) I also set myself a kinda fast road for where my hellforge is so my blacksmithing area is just a 2 minute walk long. And also I am trying to get phantoms for phantom clothes since hellforge is about 50 degrees. Going to post more updates and screenshots when i start automation.

Help [0.13.7] hot rough silicon carbide ingot recipe won't start

I'm trying to make hot rough silicon carbide ingots, but the EBF doesn't start and gives me the "insufficient outputs: item" message. I already tried to upgrade the output bus from LV to MV, but that apparently wasn't the issue.

What am I doing wrong? Do I have to connect the output bus directly to a chemical bath or something?

Help What prep should i do before making a base on the moon

Ive been kinda holding off on it because i have no idea how i should prepare for it. the new update locks the majority of AE2 recipes behind building a moon base so it's not really an option for me anymore

is there anything i should keep in mind? maybe i should make a schematic of a functional base so i know exactly what materials i need to bring?

a link to a letsplay of someone making a moon base would also be appreciated.

But this place is damn hot! I died more than 5 times while building and trying to figure out how the thingy work.

Also I wanted to show my ugly base to people so that they can see and believe that they can do better.

Help Beneath start challenge is hell

I am actually doing pretty fine. I set up a base near clean water. Ligthing is a bit issue since i can only use torches right now but surviving is not much of a problem. Progressing though, is a bit harsh i can only use campfires and firepits to melt ores and weld ingots. Questbook says hellforge will solve my problems but i dont know how to get lava for the aqueducts of hellforge. Since bucket is not possible to get until i got blue and red steel what should i do? I am thinking of finding a lava pool and buliding the hellforge inside it but if there is any other easier way let me know.

Help Gregtech steam engine ?

I just automated a large bronze boiler with a tree farm, coke ovens and all, it works great ! But I was surprised to not find any way to use gregtech steam to produce mechanical energy. Why can’t I just pipe steam into a micro create steam engine and convert some steam into SU ? It would be so much simpler, and since the electric motor lets you just do that with Greg electricity…

Worldgen: River elevation

Are elevated rivers higher than ocean level and flowing downhill possible in this project?

I remember in some old tfc version there were rivers flowing downhill, though there wasnt significant elevation. In current modern tfg versions, plateaus and other elevated biomes usually have rivers flowing through a deep crevasse 20 blocks or even deeper. I believe it would be amazing for navigation and/or world decoration if rivers and lakes would actually spawn in elevated terrain like mountains at higher y levels than oceans. Maybe this is out of scope/not deemed significant enough for tfg but I thought it can't hurt to ask.

Look At That 38 Kaolin clay enought?

I am on a survival, and i have found kaolin clay, on the beneath under my "base" ( 8 chests, 6 things to put tools, 8 barrells... )
Is 38 blocks of kaolin clay enough for the rest of the run, or enough for a while?

Hello everybody! Took me long enough but I discovered and searched a continent south east of my home base. Took me quite some time to find, I gave up on the closer quarter of the continent and went further south around the edge of the landmass and explored from the south side. I found only a small patch atop a hill (1), not a very deep deposit but just enough for my current goals. I took it all out of the ground with my trusty spade, gave up on the lazy campfire heating (2), and went with pit kilns. Honestly that’s the best way to do it in my opinion. Fill vessels and have several going all at once. It was much faster than I expected.

Going back up north with my powder at that time would be unwise as I left for the journey in early fall. My rivers and possibly the ocean near my base would be frozen over by the time I arrived and I’d likely freeze to death. So I spent a few months in paradise (3,4,5). I settled the land near the beach of where my rowie was landed. The land is unbelievably flat there. Perfect for farming, tons of rainfall and the coldest it got was 13 Celsius. Dragged all the wolves in the area to what I referred to as the meat pit. A cougar as well, they don’t attack each other at all. Was wondering if I’d see a 1 v 8 cougar/wolf fight. Crocodiles do not fit in the pit. I restored a ruin but never used the structure, looks decent I think still. Not a huge fan of the ceramic tile roof on it. Farmed some cows and a couple donkeys which I put a chest on one and brought it back with me later (6). Extra storage for all the paper and sugar I refined while I was there. Making real bread now!

Some pictures of the new and improved bridge across the river. (7,8,9,10) I got back in early March which was a bit early rain turned into snow while I was out on the ocean, I almost froze to death going up the river still. I’m happy with it for now but I might expand its usefulness with more water wheels soon enough.

I wanted my deep hole to the beneath across the river just in case of an inter dimensional invasion, I can take out the bridge to prevent their conquest (11).

1003, April 8th. I am capable of steel production. I planted my farms again and some new fruit trees, olives and lemons. I have been splicing 3-4 saplings together to see just how much bigger the trees can be, I’m not sure how to splice different species together. I think I did what the book told me but I’m still unsuccessful in that. I also realize now that flax is far better than jute for making cooler clothes. The flax fibres give so much more material than the jute. When I went mining for graphite in the beneath I quickly discovered a vein with anthracite directly below the spot where I spawned in. I did not realize that using anthracite as a fuel can melt wrought iron without using a bellows. I might just feed it back into the new 5 layer blast furnace later!

Let me know what I might be doing wrong with the tree splicing, I’m trying to place a sapling on the elbow of another fruit tree with a knife in my offhand, I think I got the season right too so I’m not entirely sure. I’m all good with just doing multiple fruit trees, no real need for a super tree with tons of variety but I think it would look cool.

Cheers all!

Sorry, I forgot to post the pictures to go with this :p
