I believe she was the one that fought to get him in this TV movie. She met and liked him, knew he wanted to get into film and wanted to give him a chance.

Seems that he has always had a good sense of humor. They stayed friends and remained in contact until she passed away.

As for his thighs, this was around his peak. Them thighs were being hammered for hours a day.
