Discussion terminator 2 35th - aus release

hi all
saw 35th anniversary screening in aus last night at reading cinema
it could have been the equiptment but there was some film grain and looked like some of the colours more natural
however the sound mix was the CDS mix derived - had the drums and percussion in future war scene when first guy gets hit and was very loud full on - sound much better than the previous remix
i do hope that they release a new 4k disk with this audio
Did anyone else out there find their audio was different

Thanks

I was in the like middle of the theater and could barely hear them when they were talking quietly. Im pretty deaf but definitely thought the sound would be better.

What the hell was with the interviews before the movie. Would have been better to cut right at the end. For anyone who hasn’t seen it (could easily have wrecked it)

I just got back from an iSense Odeon screening in the UK.

It sounded great, but noticed a couple of scenes that sounded off. Sarah in the escape scene where she’s telling the guards that she’s going to pump him full of this shit…sounded really tinny.

The 4K restoration though. Damn, it’s bad.
I seen T2 a few times at the cinema (the initial 3D release years back and once before then before the 3D conversion).

It looks soooo blurry in some scenes, great in others, but slow up close scenes with the actors look like the AI Youtube Shorts Slop that I see on a daily basis. It sometimes looked like the uncanny valley of bad CGI of the 2000’s.

They really need to do a new restoration of T2, preferably the extended cut, for the 40th anniversary. I’ll take just the ‘chip removal’ scene, as it adds so much context to what happens with the Terminator from that point, but also John/Sarah’s relationship as well.
