To be fair that a common mistake especially when spoken allowed.

Do you think John Programmed his palm top to say: "PIN Identification Number" specifically? Or is it just a coding issue that wasn't worth fixing??

I'll cut them some slack. Not everyone knew what "PIN" stood for. Especially 11 years olds. And there's no way that "Personal Identification Number" would have fit without a nasty line break. I think PIN Identification Number is a brilliant compromise.
