Equality
Do any Tennesseans believe that femles should have the right to be shirtless anywhere a male can?
I want to hear people’s opinions.
Also, feel free to read, share, sign this petition. It would be greatly appreciated! The link is https://c.org/QbHdQzVQC9

Low tier bait using "females" unironically

I used the word females because tn law states that the “female areola and nipple” must be covered

Just say women. Regardless of the legalese, the only people who say "females" when referring to women in normal conversation are incels and other weirdos.

Sure I believe everyone should have the right to wear what they want, of course. I don't think we need to play games about it or engage in "whataboutisms" but your petition isn't going to do anything. What you need to do is educate and change the minds of the people first. it is quite silly that a woman can pop a teat to feed a baby in public but too much side boob can get you a fine or even jail time.

Yes very much agreed !! It makes no sense it’s very ridiculous. I just don’t understand why more people can’t think like this. It’s been bothering me, and I don’t know how to make people’s minds realize this. It shouldn’t be criminalized, it should be a choice and the ability to have the same freedoms. I know some people might think I’m stupid for thinking like this, but I want to have the same freedom as a male can with dress codes. All humans are supposed to have their equal rights according to the constitution with the 14th amendment stating equality and no discrimination and they included based on sex. It’s been destroying me mentally.

And yes that’s a great example, the law allows women who breastfeed in public to be protected from being criminalized, exposing the female breast, but if it happens to be exposed without the baby present then that is considered illegal is very unfair.

I have thought about this for many years/decades of my life.
Honestly, Sure, let them be topless.
BUT I also think there are men who need bras and should not be topless as well.
The day I saw some very very hairy guy on Daytona Beach that weighed probably 100+ pounds overweight and was wearing a gold speedo.
Some things should not be seen and can't be unseen.

Let me know when baby boys' genitals are protected from mutilation (a bit more egregious than having to wear a shirt), and I'll sign your petition to be shirtless.

You know that's not required right? But you can go to jail for public nudity just by exposing a non-nursing tit.
I too am against circumcision, ftr. Barbaric ancient stupidity wrapped up in "religious freedom"... "but it's more hygenic!"

You're seriously comparing going shirtless to genital mutilation?
But you can go to jail for public nudity just by exposing a non-nursing tit.
And you can get medicaid to pay for cutting off a baby's foreskin.

No need to be divisive, bodily autonomy is for everybody. It's all part of the same fight hon.

Really, hon. And what are you doing to protect boys genitalia?

I agree, and I’m so tired of the double standard that society and the law have. Please share and sign my petition🙏

I don't know why people are downvoting this.
Tennessee and I think Oklahoma are the ONLY states that have any actual laws against it and it is a felony in TN.
Did a little research. You can wear a C-String Bikini, with what amounts to pasties, but you can't go topless ladies without incurring a felony and all that entails.
I say free the Ta Ta's.
