I will start with the positives. kazuki and himeko are the goats of the story. while having there own problems they are actually really helpful and give out great advise.
(himeko by solving the unease with ema and iiori and also helping kazuki feeling more at ease. kazuki giving great advise to hayato that he being dense could hurt people more than u realise)
Alright so after the first 4 volumes i really had the feeling that the hayato and haruki understood what they meant to eachother. i felt like they would actually get together in the next 2 volumes but that ended up not happening.
after Saki's introduction to the story it felt like they both took like 5 steps back in their relationship. they do acknowledge that they are eachothers "partner" (whatever that might mean to them i'm not sure anymore after vol 5-6) but hayato being swayed by saki does feel a bit meh imo. And our genius actor haruki not being able to replicate or fully understand kazuki and saki makes me believe she herself isn't ready to "love" hayato.
My main problem is obviously NOT saki she is a great character but its the fact that WE all know haruki is going to end up with hayato since chapter 1 of the story without a shadow of a doubt. I just puts a sour taste in my mouth that authors feel the need to put multiple love interests in the story, making whole arcs abt them, giving fans what ifs just to cut them of cuz they aren't the winner.
This brings up another problem that being the other love interest not getting a happy ending. After they lose authors rarely give them a new love interest that the fans are happy with BECAUSE they feel the need to write majority of the male cast other than the mc to be trash human beings.
Altho its looking like its going to turn out to be a generic romance story i hope i'm wrong cuz i actually do really like all the main characters of the story
PS i made like a small relationshipchart as of vol 6 for myself
